Yellow Slip

Cole's day care is doing colored slips that say how the child is doing. I guess the schools do this is what i was told. Blue means he had a good day, yellow means it could have been a better day and has reasons on it, and red means it was a bad day and also has reasons why. Monday was a blue day and he got 3 stickers. He loves stickers. Yesterday was a yellow day. I got his report from his teacher. He had been hitting and and was jumping around and slamming his body into other kids and one hit the wall. He also refused to do his preschool work there are well. Wouldn't participate. That i don;t have too much of a problem with. They started him in the 4 year old class when he was only 3 1/2 then criticize his work. Yes he knows the stuff but maturity wise he wasn't ready. He turns 4 next month. I was appalled at the hitting. She said he should have had a red slip and i totally agree. He had 2 time outs. I could not believe she was describing my child. So all night and all morning i kept reminding him we do not hit ever. He needs to do his work and do what his teacher says even though i don't care for her much. Never have liked her. I am hoping for a better day. I think he is still adjusting to having his little brother and sharing mom now. Just acting out. He is on the stubborn side, don't know where he got that trait! LOL! He has sassy phases the go up and down. I've been stressed out about the holidays, maybe he's picking up on some of that. I need a margarita! :)
