I made cookies for our Halloween munchie day at work and the first batch turned out great but after that no matter what they ended up over baked. I have my rules for baking cookies that always work. I was having issues with my timer. It kept sticking. Plus James was fussy so had to tend to him. Better luck next time. they still tasted good! I just prefer softer cookies. The reciped is from the Our Best Bites blog on the list on the side. Very tasty. They are the Ginger Spice cookies.

I made these yesterday! I over baked mine too. I like soft cookies too. The first batch I did for 10 minutes, the second for 9, but that was still too long. DH likes crispy cookies, so he liked them.
