Weekends Just Aren't Long Enough

I got a 3 day weekend this weekend with the 4th being on Saturday we got Friday off for the holiday. No complaints here! Friday didn't do a whole lot. Attempted to clean house which is always a lost cause. Fightinh the Battle of the ants. Saturday David had me drive my jeep to the store. no biggie. He seems to think i can't handle it. Got some odds and ends. Cole got new flip flops. He thought they were cool. James sampled blueberries for the first time and loved them. I got air fresheners for the Jeep. Had teenage boy cologne smell in there. Not awful but getting in on a 94 degree day with the windows up was pretty strong! We picked up some fire works for later. We went to a BBQ at a friends house that evening. Had a great time. Made a fruit platter and my fruit dip that is so yummy! James ate rocks. We saw them go in and realized they weren't coming out. they were small gravel like rocks. Hoping they pass well! He ate enough fruit he should be good! Found out he loves Cantaloupe and watermelon. Wasn't impressed with honey dew. He had a great time trying to keep up with the big boys. Cole did OK with the fireworks. Last time we did any was when he was 7months old. We got him to do the the Pop Its. then a sparkler. Once he did a couple sparklers he was hooked! Wasn't impressed with the loud fireworks but other than that he did great. James was more interested in more rocks. it was a late night and the boys slept in til 9:00! Sunday just kind of hung out at home. Worked on laundry but made no progress. it was a pretty nice weekend. Need more like them!
