When it Rains.....

It pours. James ear infection he had over Christmas never really went away. We took him in on Wed of this week. Dr said his ear still looks pink and thinks the ear drum might have started to burst causing fluid to start to build up in his hear. He also cleaned his ear our with this wire looking thing. James thoroughly enjoyed it. I think that help some of the fluid come out and relieved some pressure. He put him on a stronger antibiotic so hopefully this does the trick. Tuesday night was horrible. Screamed from 12:30 until almost 5. He might have slept an hour in there, restless. Wed night he still woke several times but no screaming. Bottle and back to sleep. Last night wasn't bad, he didn't want to go to sleep because he was feeling better and wanted to play. Finally a little after 10:00 he was asleep. Woke at 2:30, bottle, and back to sleep until after 6:00 when it was time to get up. I am EXHAUSTED! He seems to be getting better. He just got crawling figured put so he's having fun. He gets stuck on corners and under furniture. Getting faster ever day. He keeps putting his feet down when he crawls and sticks his butt in the air like he wants to stand up. I call it his bear stand when he's on all 4's. One of the good things about him going to the Dr is we found out he now weighs 20Lbs! Big boy for almost 8 months! Cole was that weight at about 15 months. He only weighs 31lbs now. An 11lb difference between the baby and the 4 year old. Cole was and is still small for his age.

Cole: Last weekend Cole kept complaining his mouth hurt. I finally asked enough questions and found out it hurt when he swallowed. He was real mopey and didn't eat much. Never felt feverish though. Well now last night i noticed some red bumps on his face. From what i read it could be Chicken Pox. He had the vaccine but i read that they can still get it in rare cases. And if it's rare, it happens to us. So they can get a milder form of it even if they had the vaccine, in rare cases. Why not. Monday morning about 5:00 am Cole was screaming for me. Go in. He tells me he had a bloody nose. Turn light on. Yep. Big bloody nose. All over the sheets, he'd rubbed his nose all over his arms. Quite a sight. Grab hand towel and shuffle to the bathroom. Nose is trickling pretty good for how little his nose. Sit with him and rock him to get him to calm down. David strips the sheets. Cole is crying for a bath. About 1o min after sitting with him i feel kind of icky and set him on the floor. David takes over with holding the towel. Go to get water and look in the mirror. I'm quite pale. Feel yuckier. Think i might puke. Nope. Head starts spinning and i feel myself start to go down. Put my hand on the counter and lower myself to the floor. Passed out. Good mom. Why did i pass out? Good question. Sight of blood? Maybe. Never been around enough of other people's to know. Can handle my blood. Except when it gets taken at a dr office. That makes me squeamish. I guess next time Cole has blood all over him again, we'll find out and I'll let you know.
